The Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware offers 11 clinical postdoctoral fellowships beginning August or September 2022. Positions are open to graduates from American Psychological Association-approved doctoral programs who will have completed their internship training and all degree requirements by the start of fellowship. Fellowships are one year in duration unless otherwise noted. The fellowships offer clinical training under four categories: Pediatric Psychology, Integrated Primary Care, Child Clinical, and the Swank Autism Center. We do not have an open Neuropsychology position starting in 2022. Specific postdoctoral fellowships are outlined below. Pediatric Psychology— 5 positions
All positions include research or program development, as well as opportunities for fellows to select minor rotations specific to their interests across multiple areas of pediatric psychology.
Cardiology with Minor Rotation in Hematology/Oncology.

Managing Chronic Illness in the School Setting at First State School
Integrated Pain and Wellness
Clinical and Research in Hematology and Oncology (this position is 40% research with the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science)
Integrated Primary Care – 2 positions
Both primary care positions include:
Three full days in 2 different primary care clinics.
One day in a minor rotation which may include trauma, autism spectrum disorders, pediatric psychology, or child clinical psychology
One day of research
Child Clinical – 2 positions
Emphasis on Adolescence: Gender Wellness, Body Image & Eating Disorders, & Neurology, and Adolescent Research
Emphasis on Early Childhood: Psychological Assessment, Community Based Autism Consultation, NICU Follow Up Assessment, Behavioral Feeding Therapy, and LEND*.
Autism Spectrum Disorder–2 positions
Each position includes:
ASD consultation, assessment, and treatment
Participation in interdisciplinary clinics (behavioral feeding or community-based autism consultation)
The Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND)*.
The mission of the Department of Psychology at Nemours is “to improve well-being through quality behavioral health care, education, training and research in a collaborative, inclusive, and culturally responsive manner.” Nemours, as an enterprise, is committed to the D.R.I.V.E. Therefore, fellows will actively participate in a monthly diversity and cultural humility seminar and psychology grand rounds in diversity and cultural competence. Fellows who are bilingual Spanish-English will participate in biweekly bilingual supervision seminar with our Spanish-speaking faculty. Additional opportunities to engage in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism are also available and strongly encouraged.
In addition to clinical hours, fellows participate in didactic seminars spanning topics such as professional development, clinical supervision, research and scholarly inquiry, and hospital grand rounds. Fellows also have opportunities to supervise other psychology trainees from our psychology externship and internship programs. All fellows (except LEND program and FSS fellows) may choose to participate in research training. Research is mentored by faculty within the Center for Health Care Delivery Science, and one full day per week is set aside for these activities unless otherwise noted.
Applicants must have completed all degree requirements for their PhD/PsyD and a predoctoral internship from programs accredited by the American Psychological Association by September 2022. If the applicants’ degree is not conferred by this deadline, a letter from the graduate program’s Director of Clinical Training is sufficient. Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware offers a competitive salary ($57,609 annually) and benefits package including 27 days of paid time off and continuing education funds.
