Position Summary: 

The Arbor Autism Center is recruiting for a part-time or full-time clinical child psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) to be part of a growing practice in the bay area dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adolescents with autism and their families. 

This position will focus primarily on intervention services, providing evidence-based psychotherapy to school-age and adolescents with high functioning autism and co-occurring mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, behavior challenges, parental challenges and other presenting problems. Further, psychotherapy practices will include primarily short-term, modified, individual cognitive behavior therapy, in addition to other modalities. Opportunities for other therapy formats, such as group therapy, may present. 

Required Qualifications: 

All candidates should have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) and clinical internship from an APA/CPA accredited program in Clinical Psychology with specialty training in autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities as well as children/adolescents. Candidates should also have formal postdoctoral training in these aforementioned areas and be knowledgeable about standards of care for ASD, particularly evidence-based interventions. Candidates who have had previous professional working experience conducting psychotherapy with this population is highly preferred. Candidates must be licensed in California or be license-eligible in California. Hourly wage is competitive. Hours are flexible.
