Pediatric Psychologist

  • Responsibilities: Conducting psychological evaluations, providing intervention services, clinical training, and community outreach

  • Patients: Children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental, neurological, and complex medical conditions (e.g., seizure disorders, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorder, etc.)

  • Referral sources: Developmental-behavioral, pediatrics, therapists, schools, child protection agencies, caregivers

  • Supervision: Graduate-level trainees, pre-doctoral psychology interns, and postdoctoral residents; tiered supervision opportunities; state-of-the art recording system to supervise live from your office

  • Research and grant writing is supported through our Research Core, fiscal administration team, and grant writer

  • Psychometrist support on all clinics

  • Qualified candidates:

    • Doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from APA-approved program

    • Postdoctoral training in child clinical psychology or pediatric psychology

    • At least one year experience in an interdisciplinary autism clinic

    • Preference to candidates who are research reliable on the ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R

    • Missouri licensure and MU Health System credentialing required prior to start date

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Psychology/Neuropsychology

MU School of Health Professions, Department of Health Psychology

  • Positions designed to match candidate interest, training, and experience with focus areas of autism, clinical research, learning disabilities, ADHD and/or neuropsychology

    • Note: Pediatric neuropsychology fellowship is a two-year, APPCN member program

  • Clinical services: Specialty clinics, specifically tailored for patient age and condition

    • Autism diagnostic, pediatric neuropsychology, and concussion evaluations

    • Post-concussion psychotherapy and group therapies (PEERS, Facing Your Fears, RUBI, Incredible Years)

  • ADOS-2 training: Clinical and research trainings onsite (no cost), monthly coding calibrations, support toward the Research Reliable credential

  • Psychometrist support on all clinics

  • Supervision training and experience offered through tiered supervision of graduate-level trainees and interns

  • Regular neuropsychology didactics, group supervision, and a variety of education opportunities through MU Healthcare, University of Missouri School of Medicine, and the University of Missouri are provided

  • 20 days paid time off, 10 days professional development, and professional development funds

  • Flexibility with working from home

  • Other requirements include research and scholarly activity and education services, each of which is supported and allocated through the program

  • Annual full-time salary of approximately $53,760 plus University of Missouri benefits
